Course overview
This course will introduce the concepts of Change Management to give participants a range of theories, tools and techniques for managing change within their organisations. The training will provide you with the opportunity to explore these theories in typical change situations that are faced by Data Managers and also practice to support your implementation of change within your organisation.

This workshop will benefit Managers and Team Leaders who are leading, participating in or affected by initiatives that result in change to the organisation, department or processes.

By the end of this course you will be able to :
• Identify the types of change that occur in Data Management.
• Appreciate the range of issues and complexities involved in change management.
• Use stakeholder mapping to identify who will be affected by the change and what action to take
• Appreciate how your organisation's culture can impact on change
• Use a series of tools and techniques to analyse, introduce and monitor change.
• Understand a manager’s role when leading staff through periods of change.
• Recognise the main barriers to change and create strategies for overcoming resistance to change.

Course format
This one day workshop covers the key elements of Change Management for data management professionals. The course is highly interactive and includes a variety of trainer input, group activities and personal reflection. Participants will be encouraged to interact with each-other, contribute to class discussions and share their experiences. All participants will leave with their own Action Plan of personal learning to take back to their workplace.
