Trainer biography: Lauren Shinaberry

Lauren has more than 12 years of CRO experience in Clinical Data Management with PRA International. She started at PRA as a Clinical Programmer before progressing to various levels as a technical specialist and also into management roles. She relocated from the US to PRA's office in Swansea, Wales in 2006 to build and manage the European Database Programming group. Her most recent responsibilities as Senior Project Manager in the Business Solutions group at PRA are to leverage technological solutions and CDISC standards to streamline all data management activities.
Lauren has extensive experience as a trainer gained through delivering courses on database programming and CDISC within PRA. She has also provided training on CDASH through the CDISC Education program and the ACDM training introducing CDISC standards.
Lauren holds a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Biomechanics. Previous to joining PRA she applied these skills at The Toledo Hospital performing biomechanical analyses on children with cerebral palsy to assist in developing treatment plans to improve their mobility.
Lauren is currently leading the ACDM CDISC Special Interest Group. She has been part of the CDISC Clinical Data Acquisition Standards Harmonization (CDASH) core leadership team since its inception and led both the Prior & Concomitant Medications and ECG sub-teams.
