Tainer biography - Lyn Hampshire

After graduating, Lyn began her working life specialising in transplant immunology at the Oxford Transplant Centre, before a change of direction to the clinical trials industry in 1996 and to pursue a career in Clinical Data Management. Over the past 13 years in CDM she has worked on a wide variety of projects for studies in phases I-IV and a range of therapeutic areas. She has a wide experience of all aspects of the CDM process, starting as a Clinical Data Scientist, progressing through to Senior Data Manager and then to Director of CDM UK at Omnicare Clinical Research in 2004.
In January 2007 Lyn made the transition from CDM to the Global Training and Development group within Omnicare. This strategic move enabled her to focus on further progressing and expanding all aspects of CDM training to support the Global CDM department. This has included the development and delivery of elearning, webinars and face to face classroom courses taking a blended approach suited to meeting the training needs of the employees and their global distribution.
It has been within her global training role that Lyn has had much experience of both training remote teams on CDM operational topics and also training employees on how to work effectively with remote teams themselves, with particular focus on managing off-shore teams.
