CDISC SIG

A Change in Leadership

Our Goals

  • To support the adoption of CDISC standards
  • To influence the direction of CDISC standards that relate to DM

We intend to accomplish this by:

  • Encouraging participation in the CDISC English-Speaking Users Group (ESUG)
  • Liasing with the ESUG and not duplicating effort
  • Notifying ACDM members of upcoming CDISC and ESUG events
  • Providing executive summaries of ESUG events for those who can not attend
  • Encouraging review and feedback on CDISC standards to ensure the views of  the ACDM membership are represented
  • Providing a forum for information sharing among ACDM members on CDISC questions and raising these to the ESUG for a consolidated response
  • Educating ACDM members on the CDISC resources available to them

Meetings

We will have two face to face meetings each year, with one of them coinciding with the annual ACDM conference.  We will also have two teleconferences each year presenting various topics that support our goals.  In addition, we intend to have several "hot topic" webinars throughout the year.

You do need to be a paid up member of the ACDM to participate but there are many benefits to the membership!

Unfortunately, my "day job" is requiring a significant amount of my time for the foreseeable future and I will be stepping down as the lead of the ACMD CDISC SIG.

Over the past several months, Alan Cantrell has done an excellent job of liaising with the CDISC ESUG and generally keeping things going while my work commitments pulled me away from being able to focus on the SIG.

I am very happy to announce that Alan Cantrell has agreed to step in as the lead of the SIG. I am confident that the group will benefit from his leadership and I will still be involved in support activities as much as I can. I have enjoyed working with all of you and look forward to seeing the group grow. I'm sure our paths will continue to cross through many other CDISC activities.
